It’s one of our favorite things- that initial phone call to a designer: what would you like to do? Tell us your vision. And so we talk.
Tastings give us a chance to have some fun with linens and new equipment. To play with texture, tone, feeling. And to allow our feature florist to paint her vision in our space- designed purposely as a neutral backdrop that serves pretty much any color palette and look. We remembered working with Corinne from Sebesta Design for a fall bride at Pomme who adored florals. (Here’s a link to a photo from that wedding). As busy as she was — and she was busy! – she set time aside that morning to talk so she could begin to prepare her flower order. Interestingly enough, we learned that the recent hurricanes had caused havoc in the shipping of flowers from various sources – something we hadn’t known- and so her mind was playing ‘work-around,’ as she had been doing all week with her incredibly busy schedule.
We could hear the excitement in Corinne’s voice as she settled in to the task at hand. And so she began to pull together her vision, playing up cool tone against warm, keeping in mind the imaginative mix of flowers. She selected a grey damask linen paired with an awesome new loft table from Party Rental in a driftwood-ish gray tone. Pomme has natural wood chiavari chairs which we decided to use with the linen, and metal chairs (love them!) with the loft table. You can see how perfect a backdrop this was for the warmth of the florals Corinne was imagining that morning, their warmth enhanced by Synergetic’s wash of light.
All this was set off by the glint and luxury of gold flatware, and Corinne’s glass votives and vessels in gold. To top if off, she chose one last linen– a gorgeous new velvety dusty rose linen, and lavender and burgundy napkins.
