Peachtree is a boutique company owned and operated by Jon and Lori Weinrott, a husband-wife team working closely with a small staff of well-trained players. The Peachtree cadre of chefs, party supervisors and account executives use a team-based approach to create events that are hand-tailored and customized to suit each and every client's individual needs.
Here are the bios of the key players:
Jon Weinrott
President
Jon is a native Philadelphian who roots for the Phillies, enjoys cycling and loves talking to people to learn their stories. He speaks French, has a masters in English from Tufts University and loves to 'read' books on tape. Cormac McCarthy ranks high on the list. His all-time favorite film is The Conversation. His favorite Peachtree dish is the lobster and celery root Tower with extra virgin olive oil and gros sel. His favorite snack is goat cheese, not chips. He often forgets to eat, even though he loves food. He knows a tremendous amount about wine. He lives in Glenside, PA with wife Lori, daughter Sophia and dog Charly. His son Sam is a senior at Reed College.
Lori Weinrott
Co-Owner
(second from left in pic) When she's not planning parties, Lori loves to write novels. She's a graduate of Yale where she studied comparative literature, and is co-author of The Ultimate Bar/Bat Mitzvah Celebration Book: A guide to Inspiring Ceremonies and Joyous Festivities, published by Clarkson Potter. She loves So You Think You Can Dance, Project Runway, Pride and Prejudice and hot fudge sundaes. She's married to Jon and is mom to Sam and Sophia.
Ed Batejan
executive chef
Known for his outrageous homemade butternut squash raviolis, Tuscan brick chicken and his house-smoked fishes and meats, Ed directs the kitchen team with great team-building skills balanced by a healthy dollop of good humor. He loves nothing better than to join clients at the tasting table for a lengthy conversation about their menu, and how he can brine their salmon or rough-chop their caprese salad, always in hopes of accentuating flavors and bringing his best to the table. He lives in Philadelphia with his wife Layla and his four kids.
